Super Health Tip – Discipline Yourself – No One Else Can

In other Super Health Tips I present a wealth of information. In this one I am focusing simply on what to do with that information.I suggest that you begin to take your heath care very seriously for several reasons. First, because more and more people are having serious health challenges, and you may as well. Second, because a health care crisis is quickly developing, and the availability and cost of health care will soon be out of reach, and could even be rationed.Third, because a comprehensive study has been released that reveals that degenerative diseases including heart disease, cancers, and diabetes are caused by what we eat, and that by changing what we eat we can reverse and prevent these diseases. It is shaking the foundations of the medical industry. The study is called The China Study, and you can read it yourself for it is available as a book with that title. It is the most comprehensive nutrition study ever conducted. This study introduces a totally new element into our health management – we now have the power to control our own health, reverse any of these diseases we have or may develop, and to prevent them by managing what we eat.I hope you are skeptical about what I am reporting to you, because I was when I first heard it. You should be skeptical. You will need to do your own due diligence, which doesn’t mean running to your doctor and asking him his thoughts. The first question I would ask him if you decide to do that is if he has read the China Study. If he hasn’t or can’t describe its conclusions, you may want to find a doctor who is committed to being up to date and who uses the most effective and least invasive treatment. The point is health care is beginning a massive revolution, and we all need to become knowledgeable about health and nutrition, by investing our own time and effort so we can manage our own heath care intelligently. Many doctors are dragging their feet, and are still prescribing dangerous, bankrupting and needless by-pass surgery and deadly chemotherapy. This will take some discipline on your part, to invest the time, apply what you learn, and discipline yourself to do what you need to do to become healthy. And it will take discipline to eat right to reverse heart disease and cancers that could be progressing in your body that haven’t shown obvious symptoms yet. Degenerative diseases grow slowly, and you can prevent them and reverse them by learning what foods cause them and changing your diet accordingly.I urge you to become a closet health nut. Just don’t broadcast it to everyone. If someone asks you why you are looking so good, or how you’ve lost that excess weight, you may want to drop a few hints, and suggest a DVD or book for them to consider. And you may want to have one handy to share with them. Low key, like a fox. Handy Dental Health Tips

For most people, a great smile is important because it is part of the first impression. A smile can only be great if the teeth behind the smile are clean, straight, and pearly white. While many people will visit their dentist every six months as recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), most will not complete the recommended daily personal care for their teeth. So if you are looking for ways to improve your dental health and keep a beautiful smile year after year, follow these simple tips and create a routine for dental care that will save you a lifetime of unpleasant visits in the dentist’s chair.First, the ADA recommends regular dental appointments for professional cleaning every six months. Regular cleaning visits will allow the dentist to not only keep plague at bay, but also keep cavities at bay and make any early detection of other dental problems. Since the professionals will remove the plaque build up, you will need to focus on the daily needs of your mouth. The second tip is to brush your teeth at least twice a day with toothpaste which contains fluoride. For best results look for a toothpaste endorsed by the ADA. Keep in mind also, a toothbrush should be replaced every three to four months. If this is difficult to keep track of, simply jot the date on your toothbrush when you take it out of the package.Third, the step in dental care that most people skip is flossing. Flossing is the most important step in removing destructive plague between teeth and gums that lead to decay. Flossing between regular dental cleanings is the only way to avoid tooth decay over time. Since flossing seems to be the most often neglected step in dental care, companies have designed convenient and easy to use dental floss picks. So consider increasing your flossing routine to at least once daily.Lastly, the only other general tip that will improve dental health is to choose your diet wisely. Eat regularly and limit snacking between meal because you are less likely to brush after these snacks. Following these simple guidelines can improve your dental health and create longevity for your pearly whites. If after following these tips, you still have concerns about your teeth, talk to your dentist and discuss your dental needs. You are likely to discover that there are multiple, simple solutions for most dental problems.
